Energy saver lights conducted a test in a laboratory accredited by the national voluntary laboratory accreditation program to conduct an energy star test to test minimum efficacy on its GU24 CFL lamps. The minimum efficacy of taken in lumens/watt (as per the initial data)

In this test the bulbs were tested for initial Elevated Temperature Light Output Ratio. In this test conducted on light bulbs, Product will meet the minimum requirement of maintaining 90% of initial rated light output. The requirements of the test was 1 unit per model, base-up position.

The second test carried on the fluorescent bulbs was Elevated Temperature 1,000-hour Lumen Maintenance. Average lumen output measurement of the 10 lamps tested must be greater than 90% of initial (100-hour) lumen output @ 1,000 hours of life, and no more than 2 individual samples can have a lumen output measurement less than 85%. The requirements of this test were 10 units per model, all base-up position.

The last test that was conducted on the light bulbs is Elevated Temperature Lumen Maintenance at 40% of Rated Life. In this test Average of the 10 samples tested must be greater than 80% of initial (100-hour) rating at 40% of model's rated life (Per ANSI C78.5, Clause 4.10), and no more than 3 individual samples can have a lumen output less than 75%.
